Norefjell, a winter haven, but also a wonderful place to to visit during summer.

Lake Krøderen is idyllically situated in the middle of the valley where the mountain top Høgevarde with its’ 1459 meters above sea rises towards west. The nature here is perfect for hiking and cycling through the woods, fields and mountains. The lake offers tours onboard the magical boat Kryllingen and the possiblity of fishing, boating and swimming. Other activities such as golf and go-kart are also offered.

Bjørneparken, which is located in Flå, has expanded the zoo with a large department of crocodiles, alligators and snakes, in addition to all the other animals that live in the Norwegian fauna. Also, do not forget a visit to the special Veikåker Farm, where they have 700 free-range chickens walking happily around the courtyard together with beautiful horses, dogs, cats and woodland pigs. An experience and a cultural site to remember for both young and old. In the south you can visit the world's largest ski slope, Vikersundbakken, which also has a nice restaurant at the top. Close by is Blaafarveværket with cobalt mines and art exhibitions in a beautiful historic setting.

Buskerud Museum houses famous cultural institutions such as the castle of Villa Fridheim, Sigdal Museum with the Tveiten collections, Th. Kittelsens Lauvlia, and Chr. Skredsvig Hagan, where you can experience a newly built large gallery with unique pictures. The historic Krøderbanen between Vikersund and Krøderen has various train services throughout the summer.

There are a wide range of great places to stay in the areas around Norefjell to suit every budget. Noreheim - a specially crafted setertun and is situated in the centre of Norefjell, 740 metres above sea level, and enjoys unhindered views of the surrounding landscape. This makes it the perfect choice for conferences, meetings, launches and private events. Norefri at the foot of Norefjell with beautiful apartments, and Krøderen Kro country inn which boasts an idyllic location on the banks of Lake Krøderen, near Norefjell. Best-sellers include the meat balls, venison casserole and fried trout.
